Last week, we wrote about an offer from Frontier Airlines to get their Gold Elite status tier through the end of 2026 (that’s a full 16 months) for $69.
We now know this offer will end September 9th, 2025. It’s being offered by StatusMatch.com and aside from the $69 fee, the only other requirement is that you are an existing loyalty member – and were prior to August 18, 2025 – of Southwest Airlines, JetBlue, Alaska Airlines or Spirit Airlines. (To be clear, you simply need to have had an account, not any actual status.)

For those that fly Frontier, this should pay back within just one trip so if you fly Frontier even once a year, this is worth a look. Keep in mind that one carry bag alone starts at $30 per flight and goes up from there (based on when you pay for the carry on fee, travel dates, etc) but the carry-on bag fee waiver works any time.
Here are the Elite Gold member benefits:
-
A free carry-on bag
-
Zone 1 priority boarding
-
Priority customer care
-
Free preferred seat selection
-
Complimentary upgrades to premium seating at check-in and UpFront Plus seating four hours before departure
And again, this lasts through Dec 2026, so if you apply and are approved now, you’ll have nearly 16 full months of Elite Gold status.
Here’s the link to the offer at StatusMatch.com.

Would the Gold status benefits include a travel companion on the same ticket, Dave?
Hey @Rusty. The priority boarding would be the only thing conferred onto travel companions, unfortunately. But it’s also only $69 😉
What if I already have gold status until the end of this year. How can I take advantage of this still?
Sorry, you won’t be able to do an offer like this until your current status expires. 🙁
I also did the last offer, and i think am not eleigible to extend it
If you don’t CURRENTLY have the status, you can do this. If you DO have status now, right, you can’t extend it.
