American Express is currently offering a 25% bonus when you transfer Membership Rewards points to Flying Blue.

This can be great IF you have a redemption in mind. Generally, I would fund my Flying Blue needs via Ultimate Rewards, but given the bonus, Amex works as well!  Flying Blue can be an excellent way to redeem for SkyTeam awards at a lower mileage cost than Delta would charge, for example, 62,5000 miles one way in Business from the US to Europe vs 70,000-85,000 via Delta SkyMiles (assuming Saver level availability).

A HUGE word of caution: I always advise against transferring speculatively, because programs change. In this case, we already know that starting June 1st, Flying Blue pricing will become more dynamic (i.e. cost more).

PS: Amex… I could really use a transfer bonus for Aeroplan right about now as well 😉
