I’ll come right out and say that I was under the impression the Amex Business Green Rewards Card was getting a business-greeen-cardcomplete refresh. It hasn’t – at least not yet.

All that has happened is a replacement of the standard bonus offer of 5,000 Membership Rewards points with the following offer:

Get 3X Membership Rewards points on up to $50,000 in spend at U.S. restaurants, hotel stays booked direct, and on airfare purchased direct in your first 3 months.

The offer ends Nov 6, 2019.

The rest of the card is the same. 2X on travel booked via Amex and 1X elsewhere.

Now, you could be getting 4X Amex Membership Rewards points with a regular (personal) American Express Gold Card and you can get 5X on airfare with an Amex Platinum (although I prefer to use a Chase Sapphire Reserve or Chase Sapphire Preferred Card for airfare for the included trip insurance) and, of course, that same Chase Sapphire Reserve already earns 3X on hotels booked direct as would a Chase Ink Business Preferred.

So that’s why I’m not screaming about this offer. However for some of you that may be focused on collecting Amex Membership Rewards points, it’s worth knowing about.
