If you are building a TAP Portugal Miles&Go balance, you may be interested in a new transfer bonus from TAP for Capital One customers.

As you read on Monday, TAP is one of the new 1:1 transfer partners of Capital One Miles.

If you are in a cash crunch, you should avoid travel rewards credit cards until you are caught up. Here are our favorite credit cards for Intro 0% APR offers and for balance transfer offers

Transfer Bonus: Capital One Miles to TAP

To celebrate the new program launch, TAP is offering 5,000 miles on top of your transfer, as long as you transfer 5,000 miles or more by the end of May. The miles must come from a Capital One account, meaning a Capital One Venture, Capital One VentureOne, or Capital One Spark Miles card.

Now, the TAP Miles&Go is not a program full of sweet spots. For the US flyer, a 50,000 one-way flight from the US to South America (any region) on United or Avianca is probably the best redemption I can think of.

However, it’s interesting that they are offering 5,000 bonus miles flat as opposed to a % bonus. If you already collect TAP miles, I would think that a 5,000 mile transfer to build your balance wouldn’t be a bad idea.

I wouldn’t transfer anything into an otherwise empty account, though.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Offer of 5.000 Bonus Miles on your 1st transfer, with a minimum of 5.000 Miles transferred.
  2. Only one 5.000 Miles Bonus per TAP Miles&Go account allowed.
  3. Offer valid for transfers made from April 20th to May 31st 2021.
  4. Bonus Miles will be credited in your TAP Miles&Go account within 7 work days of your 1st miles transfer.

yottaWhat is Yotta Savings?: The Yotta Savigs account is a really fun way to earn interest at a higher rate than Marcus while having some fun each night when the Yotta prize ball drops. Currently, the statistical odds imply a net savings rate of between around 1% and 3% - at a time when banks like Marcus are offering a paltry 0.5%. Plus, it's fun! | Read my review of Yotta.

I got "in the game" in 2003 and since then I've collected literally millions and millions of frequent flyer miles and hotel points. I've flown around the world in first class seats that would cost $29,000 using frequent flyer miles and a few bucks in tax. And I've stayed in some of the finest hotels - all for free! A few years ago I realized many of my friends actually thought I was paying for these!! So I started sharing my tips. It's long been a passion, but when I hosted a session on Miles and Points at this year's South by Southwest festival, my love of the game intensified and this blog was born.
