2nd Quarter Chase Freedom Bonus Categories

It’s that time again!

This is for both the legacy Chase Freedom and the new Freedom Flex.

As a fresher, the old Chase Freedom and the new Freedom Flex allow you to earn 5X Ultimate Rewards points on whatever the chosen categories are for that 3 month period. The limit is $1,500 in spend for the quarter per card, for a total of 7,500 Ultimate Rewards points on the spend.

You can now register for the 2nd quarter on your Chase Freedom or Freedom Flex. Both Chase Freedom Flex (including converted Freedom Flex cards) and Freedom cards will have access to these bonus categories which for April, May, and June are:

  • Gas Stations
  • Home Improvement stores

Many will be excited about gas earning 5X since that’s a huge spend point. Despite 23 credit cards that earn a bonus on gas station spend, this quarterly bonus tops them all.

Beyond that, both of these store types provides easy gift card opportunities. Meaning that if your local Home Depot or Sunoco sells Amazon gift cards, this is a nice way to top off your Amazon balance and earn 5X Chase Ultimate Rewards in the process.

(This gift card opportunity is also something I talk about with the Chase Ink Cash at office supply stores.)

If you don’t get have a Chase Freedom Flex, you can get one here.
