For those that don’t know, Seated is a service wherein restaurants offer diners a rebate on dinner in the form of points which are then exchanged for cash-equivalents like Amazon, Delta, Uber, or AirBnB gift cards, among many other options. $1 in points transfers to $1 in gift cards.

Seated

Available in Boston, NYC, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Atlanta, Seated was my go-to in a world where people could eat in restaurants. We certainly found favorite spots that offered great deals – sometimes as much as 30% – to entice us in. The best part is that Seated often has bonus codes. So you might get 30% back PLUS another $5-$15. On a smaller meal, I’ve gotten half off.

I redeem for Amazon gift cards, which I view the same as cash. I’ve reaped many hundred of dollars from eating out and was a bit bummer that it was a lost option during COVID. As an aside, I picked up a Seamless+ (same as Grubhub+) membership where for $10 a month, I get free delivery and a 10% rebate.

Anyway, Doctor of Credit reported today that Seated is now working for delivery. You go to the Seated app as normal and pick a restaurant, but then it will redirect you to their online ordering system (often ChowNow with their substantially lower fees to the restaurant) and then you’ll upload your receipt after – same as always.

I’m seeing 10% rebates across the board. Assuming you aren’t already on Seamless+ or similar, that’s a great deal.

Referral Bonus

When you use a referral link to signup for Seated (that is mine), you’ll get a $15 credit after your first dine. The referrer gets $30 in credits.

Once you have that first dine, you;’ll want to refer your friends to rack up more credit. $30 a pop isn’t bad!
