Chase Ink Preferred: 80k offer vs 100k offer

Last month, Chase updated the “standard” offer on the Chase Ink Business Preferred credit card. Instead of 80,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points for spending $5,000 within 3 months, it’s now 100,000 points when you spend $15,000 in 3 months.

For high spenders, that’s more points, but for *most* people, especially now, that’s way too much of a minimum spend requirement.

For those that created a refer-a-friend link, though, the old 80,000 points for $5,000 in spend within 3 months is still active.

I assumed I could suggest that you generate one for your friends, but Chase appears to have disabled the Refer-a-Friend for this card (I think because, overall, banks have much less appetite for new business loan customers).

So, two things about the CIP 80,000 point offer:

  1. If you are interested in the original offer of 80,000 Ultimate Rewards points as a bonus when you spend $5,000 in your first 3 months, you can use my refer-a-friend link. I’ll get bonus points and you’ll get the better offer.
  2. Feel free to leave your own Refer-a-Friend link in the comments, if you happened to have generated one while they were still active. If a reader recognizes you as someone that has helped them here, or in the MilesTalk group, they may use your link to thank you.

The fact that you can no longer generate a new link tells me that, any day now, the referral link may show as an expired offer, so if you are under 5/24 and this card has been on your list (why wouldn’t it be – with the old 80,000 point offer, it was my number one credit card for those new to miles and points).

Does your referral link still work?
