The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort

For many months now, the Chase Marriott card tried something different in the form of 2 free nights when you spend $3,000 on the card. This was instead of bonus points and had a big catch – the nights would only work on hotels of up to 35,000 points a night.

That meant that the offer was worse than previous offer of 75,000 points since the max value you could get was 70,000 points and you didn’t even have the option to use it for a top-tier property like the St Regis Maldives where rooms are currently 60,000 points a night.

The offer is new back to 75,000 bonus points if you spend $3,000 within 3 months.

Still, bear in mind there are a number of restrictions on getting the bonus with this card.

The product is not available to:

  • current cardmembers
  • previous cardmembers of the Marriott Rewards Premier or Marriott Rewards Premier Plus credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 24 months.
  • you if you are a current cardmember, or were a previous cardmember within the last 30 days, of The Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express;
  • you if you are a current or previous cardmember of either The Starwood Preferred Guest Business Credit Card from American Express or the Starwood Preferred Guest American Express Luxury Card, and received a new cardmember bonus or upgrade bonus in the last 24 months; or
  • you if you applied and were approved for The Starwood Preferred Guest Business Credit Card from American Express or the Starwood Preferred Guest American Express Luxury Card within the last 90 days.

And, of course, it’s subject to the Chase 5/24 rule.

If that doesn’t knock you out of contention and have been waiting for this offer to return…you can learn more about the Marriott Rewards Premier Plus Credit Card
