chase ink unlimited refer-a-friend

Most loyal miles and points enthusiasts remember that a couple of months ago, credit card companies pulled most of our affiliate links. Chase started with the Ink Small Business cards, anticipating that small business owners could be hard hit – making them a higher risk.

Chase Tightened Approval Rules

Last month, Chase clamped down even more, requiring that you login to your Chase account in order to even apply. If you didn’t have another Chase credit card, or at least a Chase bank account, you could no longer apply.

Through all of this, those that had generated Chase “Refer-A-Friend” offers prior to April could still refer people and earn 20,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per Chase Ink Preferred approval and 10,000 points per Chase Ink Business Unlimited approval.

Additionally, this kept alive the older Chase Ink Preferred bonus offer for 80,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points when you spent $5,000 within 3 months, vs. the new public offer of 100,000 points but for a huge $15,000 in spend within 3 months.

Both Chase Ink Refer-A-Friend offers appear dead

When I click my referral link for the Ink Unlimited, I see this:

When I click on the Chase Ink Business Preferred referral link, which was still offering the 80,000 points for $5,000 in spend offer, I get this:

This page is currently unavailable. Please check back later.

When I went to the Chase Refer-A-Friend page, I was unable to generate any new links.

Chase Freedom Unlimited Referral Links Need to Be Regenerated

You may also recall I wrote not even two months ago that Chase pulled the Chase Freedom referral links and removed the balance transfer offer and “updated” the Chase Freedom Unlimited links.

They’ve done it again. While they haven’t changed the bonus offer in any way, your existing referral links for the Chase Freedom Unlimited have expired. If someone uses your links now, they’ll get the offer page refreshed, get the same offer, and you’ll get nada.

So, head over to that Refer-A-Friend page and regenerate a new link for the Unlimited right away.
