While I don’t think too many of you regularly (ever??) transfer from Citi ThankYou to Aeromexico, I noticed the following on the ThankYou site:
Important update: Aeromexico will no longer be a Points Transfer option effective January 25, 2026. This change will not affect prior Aeromexico Points Transfer transactions.
Referencing our matrix of transferable points, we can see that even if we still want to transfer points to Aeromexico, we can use Amex or Capital One – and Amex has a more favorable transfer rate at 1:1.6 anyway.
Aeromexico is a Skyteam partner, so you can book Skyteam flights like Deltas as well as partner awards on Avianca and Copa, as well as GOL.
Perhaps the best use, at least on paper, is a Round the World award in business class for 352,000 points, although I am not sure I’ve ever heard of anyone that has successfully made this happen, perhaps owing to how hard long haul premium awards on Skyteam can be to find.
If you use Aeromexico’s program, definitely drop a note below or on the MilesTalk Facebook group!
