I can’t recall an offer this generous in quite a while that actually applies to an award stay, so it’s definitely worth sharing in case Calala Island has been on your radar.
Calala Island is an all-inclusive off the coast of Nicaragua SLH resort with only 5 rooms – all suites – on property and requires an included transfer by both plane AND speedboat. I’ve never been owing to that last bit, though I’ve always been tempted by the value. Rooms go for over $2,000 a night and points bookings are 240,000 points.

As flagged by Mark at Travel on Points (and what a find!), Calala Island is offering you a payment of $2,510 (by wire transfer!) if you book a 4+ night stay by May 10, 2026 for a stay that is completed by June 10, 2027. This is to celebrate their 10 year anniversary. Here is a link to their offer page for this deal (and yes, read it before you decide to book – or make sure your booking is cancelable!).
The real kicker here is that Mark says he spoke to Hilton (or the hotel, I’m not sure which) and they confirmed that a points booking would qualify.
A 4 night stay is required for the promo but keep in mind that if you have *any* Hilton status, even silver, you get the 5th night free on an award stay so a 4 night stay and a 5 night stay would cost the same 960,000 points. That’s a lot, but it’s also going to be over $10,000 in value and they you’d also get paid $2,510! And it would be well over a cent per Hilton point in value even before the $2,510 payment…
You’d think the deal would have spurred every single night before the offer end date to already be booked, but there are some scattered 5 night stays available.
If it were me, I’d probably reconfirm with the hotel about the award stay booking counting to be extra safe and get it in writing. I want to be clear that I am relying on what Mark says he confirmed and not making any guarantees from my end as I have not verified directly with the hotel.
Also, note that since it needs to be a 4 night booking, I would be careful about using free night certificates unless you have 4+ and can make this all one confirmation number. But again, get your eligibility in writing from the hotel that you are eligible if you do anything “non standard” with your booking.
The terms on the website are as follows:
*Minimum stay of four (4) nights applies. Bookings must be confirmed by 10 May 2026, for travel completed by 10 June 2027. A payment of US $2,510 per cabana, per stay will be sent by wire transfer within 28 days of receiving complete payment information following check-out. Offer valid from 3 Feb 2026. Credit is non-transferable. Standard Calala Island booking and cancellation policies apply.
And make sure that you read some reviews of the property. It’s a luxury resort, yes, but it also has some elements to consider – like the long bumpy speedboat ride, no air conditioning, and the like.
