I do not, as a rule, get too worked up about Delta’s SkyMiles “Flash Sales” because often they are strictly correlated to sale prices using cash, meaning the “miles” are still not being used for very good value.
Today, Delta has a REAL Flash Sale happening to/from NYC. I see CRAZY good deals from NYC to LAX, from 11,000 miles ROUND TRIP. With tons of availability.
These are representing redemption opportunities of over 3.5 cents a SkyMile, which is excellent for Skymiles, the airline currency I have by far the hardest time extracting outsized value from. I’m going to book one of these myself.
The flash sale appears to work from NYC to many cities, so if you are NYC based, definitely plugin wherever you may want to travel. The sale appears to be good for September and October travel.
