These deals expire at the end of October 28, 2020.

If you missed this, the standard Amex Gold offer is currently 60,000 bonus points with $4,000 in spend in 6 months.

If you are in a cash crunch, you should avoid travel rewards credit cards until you are caught up. Here are our favorite credit cards for Intro 0% APR offers and for balance transfer offers

Fantastic Amex Referral Bonus Offers

If you have a friend that may be interested in a new Amex card, you should go and check your referrals. Not only are they giving increased referral bonus points (just remember that referral bonus points are taxable) but they will also give you 3 bonus points per dollar on your own spend for three months on top of the points!

So in this case, if I refer someone from my Amex Gold card, Amex will give me 25,000 bonus points (up from the normal 10,000) and will also give me 3 bonus points per dollar on all spend. If it’s in a 4X bonus category, I’d get 7 points per dollar.

Enhanced Offers for the One You Refer as Well

Using my referral link, the person applying is being offered 60,000 bonus Membership Rewards points for spending $4,000 in 6 months. So it’s a bigger than normal bonus AND it gives them 6 months vs. the usual 3 to make the spend. That’s awesome.

They Can Still Apply for Any Amex

Summary

It’s a fantastic deal and a few of these offers are way better than the standard MilesTalk affiliate offers. If you are in the market for an Amex, or know someone who is, check your own offers ASAP. The offers expire at the end of October (the 28th). If you are in the market for a card and don’t have a P2 to refer you, this is my link.

yottaWhat is Yotta Savings?: The Yotta Savigs account is a really fun way to earn interest at a higher rate than Marcus while having some fun each night when the Yotta prize ball drops. Currently, the statistical odds imply a net savings rate of between around 1% and 3% - at a time when banks like Marcus are offering a paltry 0.5%. Plus, it's fun! | Read my review of Yotta.

I got "in the game" in 2003 and since then I've collected literally millions and millions of frequent flyer miles and hotel points. I've flown around the world in first class seats that would cost $29,000 using frequent flyer miles and a few bucks in tax. And I've stayed in some of the finest hotels - all for free! A few years ago I realized many of my friends actually thought I was paying for these!! So I started sharing my tips. It's long been a passion, but when I hosted a session on Miles and Points at this year's South by Southwest festival, my love of the game intensified and this blog was born.
