Capital One is opening its latest lounge, a “Capital One Landing” concept lounge, inside New York LaGuardia’s Terminal B. The Landing opens Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
I was excited to attend a media preview for this event, as I’d been staring at those “Coming Soon” signs in the terminal for months and months now, salivating at the prospect of a “local to me” Capital One Landing experience.

For those that don’t know, Capital One Landings are Capital One lounges (accessible via your Venture X or Venture X Business credit cards as a primary user) but they amplify the dining experience to another level.
They are essentially high quality tapas restaurants inside an airport and the food is a collaboration with humanitarian and celebrity Chef José Andrés.
The first one opened in 2024 inside DCA (Washington Dulles) airport and I’ve always heard raves about it, but have never made it to that location myself as I tend to take Amtrak to/from DC.
My introduction to the concept at LGA was an incredibly tasty one. Let’s dig in…

The Lounge
The lounge itself is stunning. It was essentially built off the end of the airport, meaning that it went on top of what was previously just a roof.
That allowed Capital One to build it as they wanted, with high ceilings that really open the space up, and with floor to ceiling views of the planes outside.

It’s 12,500 square feet, which isn’t gigantic but is ample considering the concept.

You can reserve a spot in advance on the Capital One app.
As comfortable as it is to hang out in this lounge, I personally found it notable that the entire seating area seemed best suited to a leisurely meal but, perhaps, not 3 hours of “hanging out” (although I’m told many people do work for hours on a laptop or watch movies, etc.) so my hope is that the concept actually results in guests not staying quite as long and keeping wait times down.
The lounge had a variety of local artwork and a gorgeous mural at the far end.

In addition to the full bar, I loved that even cold brew coffee is prepared to order rather than out of a self serve tap and that they top it with foam.

Everything is brought to you outside of a selection of counter offerings (cheese, charcuterie, sardines, and the like).

There are also carts that serve various specialities (think goat cheese tomato cones, a Vermouth ritual, table side martinis. I’m told churros will be coming as a cart which may be more exciting to me than to you, but I love churros!

Beyond the expected wifi, there are charging ports at every seat and there are myriad locations where you can tuck away larger bags.

There are five private restrooms, each with a changing table.

The Food
Here are some examples of the menu (and they had a majority of these items for my visit, though it hopefully goes without saying that they change up the menu and may not have everything listed at any one time).

I know, I know, you want to hear about the actual food…. and I took one for the team here, trying 7 or so different things 😉
The carne asada absolutely stole the show for me, bathed in a fantastic sauce that tasted to me like an amplified chimichurri, cooked perfectly (both times!).
My second favorite dish was the chicken croquettes. All of the cheese (manchego, goat cheese, gorgonzola dolce) and charcuterie (paleta ibérica, chorizo, salchichon) were also excellent and the warmed tomato bread rounded out my favorites.

The “Mom’s Lentil Soup” was a nice, healthy dish and I certainly had no complaints about the ham and cheese “bikini” sandwich or the patatas bravas.

That said, I may or may not have ordered a second round of that carne asada and the croquetas.

How to Enter the Capital One Landing at LaGuardia (LGA)
- Venture X and Venture X Business primary cardholders enjoy unlimited complimentary access to Capital One Landing locations – and special pricing of $45 per visit for guests.
- Primary cardholders who spend at least $75,000 across their account per calendar year may bring one complimentary guest to Capital One Landings per visit.
- Primary cardholders may pay an annual lounge access fee of $125 per additional cardholder to maintain their access to Capital One Landings.
- Venture Rewards and Spark Miles cardholders can access Capital One Landing locations for a discounted rate of $45.
- All others – both cardholders and non cardholders – can enter Capital One Landing locations for $90 per visit.
- Guests 17 and younger, accompanied by eligible cardholders, can enter Capital One Landing locations for a discounted rate of $25 per visit; kids under 2 are welcome for free.

Bottom Line
This is a great new entry to the NYC lounge scene. It’s all about the food, yet the lounge is beautiful, comfortable, and a great way to have a bite before your flight.
I know there has been a lot of uproar about the end of the free lounge guests with the Venture X and Venture X Business but I’ve been saying for months that I think that is a bit misguided if you access the lounge more than a couple of times a year. With other premium cards that have issuer lounges, you are paying significantly more. The Venture X and Venture X Business both have an effective negative $5 annual fee when you consider an annual fee of $395, the annual $300 Capital One Travel portal credit, and the 10,000 points (worth at least $100 of travel) each renewal. Adding lounge access for an AU at $125 means you are paying a net effective $120 on the card for access for two.
Or, the real power move? Get your AU their own Venture X or Venture X Business card and it’s even cheaper – plus they will get the welcome bonus on top!

I walked by it a half hour ago. Was it really open? It still looked like a construction site from my outside.
Apologies, The Landing opens Wednesday, February 18
