I’m a huge fan of Singapore Airlines premium product. If you read my review last month of the Singapore Suites from Frankfurt to NYC, you already know that.

Singapore Airlines has a Business Class sale on now through September 24th that make Business Class to Europe and Asia pretty affordable if their routes work for you. The NYC-Frankfurt route is n the A380 with a very nice Business Class located on the upper deck. $1999 round trip is not only a bargain, but you’ll earn a nice amount of miles and Star Alliance status qualifying miles. The flights are also cancelable for $300.

You can use the site WhereToCredit to find out what the fare will earn. It’s a “D” fare. The highest earn rate would appear to be on Scandinavian Airlines which earns 200% of flown miles. For possibly more useful programs, you could credit at 125% to Singapore KrisFlyer, 125% to Air Canada or 100% to United.  Both Singapore and Air Canada have some great award sweet spots (You can fly Lufthansa First Class US-Europe for 80,000 miles with KrisFlyer vs 110,000 with United and you can fly US-Europe in Business Class for 55,000 Air Canada miles vs. 70,000 with United for a Star Alliance (non-United flight).

While the Suites are their First Class product and this is “just” business class, these fares appear to be upgradeable, so if you really wanted to, you could buy the Business Class flight and then upgrade to Suites if available. That said, the upgrade chart is far from a bargain, costing almost as much as a full on award, so maybe you’ll be perfectly happy with an amazing Business Class product.

It’s a great way to get to Europe in style with many connecting options from Frankfurt. Fares to Asia are also extremely attractive considering both the flight lengths and miles earned.
