grubhub+ lyft

Remember in January (I know, that feels like a decade ago) when it was announced that your Chase Sapphire Reserve would come with a year of Lyft Pink?

Lyft Pink Now Includes Grubhub+ or Seamless+

Well, that’s still a thing and now Lyft Pink includes your choice of GrubHub+ or Seamless+ for the duration of your Lyft Pink account. If you haven’t activated that yet, you’ll get both for a year.

What is Grubhub+ / Seamless+?

GrubHub+ (or Seamless+ if you are in a market like NYC that still favors Seamless over GrubHub despite being nearly identical) gives you free delivery on orders over $12 with participating restaurants.

They also sometimes throw you little extras like a $5 off $15 and things like that. I’ve been using my Amex Gold monthly $10 credit to cover that, since it costs $10 + tax or just about $11 a month.

Extra Value on the Sapphire Reserve

But now I can save that $10 to apply towards an actual order. That means an extra ~$132 in my pocket over a year.

Unfortunately the Lyft Pink benefit is just “for a year” and not “yearly” so I can’t say that it’s necessarily worth $132 – that will depend when or if you already activated your free one year of Lyft Pink.

But, if Chase winds up making it a recurring benefit, that would be real added value with the Chase Sapphire Reserve.

You can activate via the Grubhub page here or the Seamless page here.

Do you use Grubhub+ or Seamless+? Will you use this benefit?
