jetblue mosaic benefits

Basically every US airline (and many around the world) has already extended member’s elite statuses for an extra year. See: Delta’s status extension, American Airlines’ status extension, and United Airlines’ status extension.

It took JetBlue a lot longer to put a plan in place, but it’s a solid plan.

JetBlue Extends Elite Mosaic Status for an Extra Year

Any member whose Mosaic status was set to expire at the end of 2020 will see an extra year of benefits, with status now expiring at the end of 2021.

Gift Mosaic Status to a Friend, Family Member, or Colleague

If you are a current Mosaic status holder, you can gift Mosaic travel perks to anyone you choose (just one person!) for one year, starting on June 15, 2020. Their status will last until June 15th, 2021 and they don’t need to travel with you to receive the benefits. It’s a pure gift.

June 1st is the deadline to gift status. To gift, use this link by June 1, 2020.

Lower Mosaic Qualification Requirements in 2020

If you don’t already have Mosaic status and start flying this year, you can earn Mosaic at reduced thresholds (50% lower) as follows:

  • 7,500 Mosaic qualifying points (vs. the usual 15,000 points)
  • 6,000 Mosaic qualifying points and 15 segments (vs. the usual 12,000 points and 30 segments)

JetBlue confirms that Mosaic customers will continue to receive an award of 15,000 bonus TrueBlue points upon qualification.
