If you are like me and carry an Amex Business Platinum Card, one of the many benefits American Express has piled on to maintain you as a customer through COVID-19 is a doubling of your twice-annual Dell credit.

Amex Business Platinum Dell Credit Doubled in 2020
In 2020, as part of American Express’ commitment to provide more value for their cards during a time that so many travel benefits cannot be used, including a $200 automatic annual fee rebate on the Business Platinum Card, they doubled the twice-annual Dell credit.
Normally you can buy anything from Dell.com/Amex between January 1 and June 30th each year and again July 1st to Dec 31st each year and get up to a $100 credit each time.
In 2020 only, they’ve doubled this to $200 in each half of the year.
Your 1st half credit requires you make a purchase that posts to your card by June 30th, 2020 – so do this today!

Amex Offer Stacks for Dell
In addition there have been several Amex Offers for Dell. On my Business Platinum card, I have THREE active Amex Offers for Dell:
- Get 10% back up to $1,500 by August 1st, 2020
- Get +1 Membership Rewards points per dollar spent by Dec 31, 2020
- Get +4 Membership Rewards points per dollar spend by July 31, 2020
Some people also have an additional offer for 12,000 bonus Amex Membership Rewards points when they spend $599 or more in a single transaction. I have this offer only on my American Express Gold Card which isn’t useful to me….
My Own Dell Credit Stack
I had used the $100 credit early in the year, so I had $100 left to use. I earned 6 MR points per dollar (1 base + 4 on one Amex Offer + 1 on the second Amex Offer) plus I got my 10% rebate and the full credit. I bought a wireless gaming keyboard for my nephew.
(Note: Amex has in the past clawed back the overlap between the 10% discount and the $100 / $200 credits, so really I should have bought something for $110, however, I just didn’t have an extra $13 to buy!)
I plan to use the 2nd half $200 credit in July to take advantage of ALL of my above Amex Offer deals. I’ll “invest” in a nice podcasting headset/mic combo.
