End of the Line for the 10% AA mile Rebate

Back in March I wrote about both Citi and Barclay removing the 10% mileage rebate from their benefits on April 30th.

That’s today.

As a reminder, currently the Barclay’s AAdvantage cards and the Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select World Elite Mastercard will rebate you back 10% of redeemed awards, up to 10,000 miles a year. So in any calendar year, you can max out the benefit by redeeming 100,000 miles and getting 10,000 back. Even if you have multiple cards, the cap is per AAdvantage account.

If you haven’t used the benefit in full this year, consider booking something while you can today to save the 10% in miles.

Did you use this benefit? Will it affect you keeping the card?  Let me know here, on Twitter, or in the private MilesTalk Facebook group.

New to all of this? My “introduction to miles and points” book, MilesTalk: Live Your Wildest Travel Dreams Using Miles and Points is available now.
