singapore suites review

It’s been 3 years since Singapore Airlines’ KrisFlyer program, which we know from our transferable points matrix counts Amex, Chase, Citi, and Capital One among their transfer partners, will devalue again starting November 1, 2025.

What we know:

  • Awards across the board will rise in most cases (there are a few small economy decreases, but not US-SIN or US-Europe) between 5% and 20%.
  • Saver Awards in Business Class on Singapore metal will increase from the US to Singapore on SQ and vice versa from 111,500 to 117,000 miles.
  • Saver Awards in First Class on Singapore metal will increase from the US to Singapore on SQ and vice versa from 148,500 to 156,000 miles.
  • If you use their Advantage awards (additional availability as compared to Saver), you’ll see a 15% increase in both First/Suites Class and Business Class (US-SIN), from 143,500 to 165,000 in Business and from 243,000 to a whopping 279,500 in First/Suites.
  • You can book anytime through October 31st at the old rates.
  • Star Alliance awards, which at one point were competitive but are no longer even remotely desirable, get even worse. JFK-FRA for example, on a partner like Lufthansa, jumps to 89,500 miles in Business or 133,500 miles in First. US to Singapore on Star Alliance will be 131,000 each way in Business Class or 184,500 miles in First. Singapore DOES pass on fuel surcharges.
  • There will be new dynamic pricing for a new category of award they “say” won’t replace existing charts. These will be called Access and will be based on the current fare.

I guess these increases after 3 years of inflation aren’t unwarranted, but we never like to see devaluations. Keep in mind that if you want to book Singapore Suites, you pretty much have to book directly.
