Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card – 100,000 Mile Welcome Bonus Offer
The Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card has had an elevated offer since Nov 12th, with its welcome bonus offer (a.k.a Early Spend Bonus) *almost* as good as the offer when the card launched.
Right now you can get 100,000 bonus Capital One Miles when you spend $10,000 in 6 months.
At launch, in late 2021 into early 2022, the offer was for 100,000 bonus points but there was also a kicker of a $200 VRBO credit. Besides that, this is the best ever offer on this card.
This remains one of the most popular premium credit cards since it launched in late 2021, probably because it has a $395 annual fee but a $300 Capital One Travel Portal credit of $300 annually plus an annual renewal bonus of 10,000 points (worth at least $100) making the card effectively pay you to take it – and it comes with access to Capital One Lounges (like the fantastic new Capital One lounge at JFK Terminal 4) as well as Priority Pass.
It lacks a giant electronic coupon book but, for many, that is exactly the selling point – simplicity and a much lower annual fee than other premium credit cards with airport lounge access.
You currently get two guests at Capital One lounges and unlimited Priority Pass guests. However, starting on February 1st, authorized users will have to pay $125 per year for lounge access and no guests will be included. If you don’t pay annually, a guest at the door is $45 for Capital One Lounges or $35 for Priority Pass. Kids 2-17 will be $25 at Capital One lounges (still $35 at Priority Pass) and under 2 is free.
The card also comes with primary car rental damage waiver and Hertz President’s Circle status.
Bottom Line:
The card has had a 75,000 point welcome bonus offer for years now save for a brief 90,000 point offer, so unquestionably this is a good time to get the card. Also note that this is the one Capital One personal card that those with good credit (which most MilesTalkers have!) consistently get approved for.
And of course this card earns Capital One Miles, which have only gotten more and more powerful, most recently with the addition of JAL Mileage Bank as a transfer partner, although that powerful partnership (JetBlue Mint for a steal) is set to end March 31, 2025.
Lastly, keep in mind the newest eligibility rules for Venture X. In short, for Venture X, you are eligible as long as you haven’t received a Venture X bonus in the last 48 months.
