Bilt’s June Rent Day
I said that it would be hard to top April’s Bilt deal with Hyatt, giving a path to top tier Globalist status with just 20 nights. But they may have. I can’t rewrite what they gave me any better than they sent it, so here it is:
“This Rent Day, in honor of our birthday, Bilt is going big with gifts for all Bilt members who solve The Rent Day Challenge. To celebrate, for the first time ever, Bilt is giving all of their members who solve the Rent Day puzzle a special gift in real time! Head over to the new Rent Day tab in the Bilt app, solve the Rent Day Challenge correctly and you’ll get a present at the end. We’ve teamed up with Virgin, Emirates and Lyft for some exclusive prizes.
Here’s how to win: On June 1st, log onto your Bilt app, click on the new Rent Day tap, use the clues given to solve the word puzzle. Once you solve the Challenge, you’ll pick your birthday present and open it to see what prize you’ve unlocked. Everyone who solves it is a winner.

Rent Day Prize Details
- [25, 50, 10,000 or 100,000] Points: These points never expire and will be deposited directly into the winners Bilt account in the next 24 hours. Winner will see them in their timeline as ‘Rent Day Game’.
- [5,000 or 25,000] Points to use toward the Bilt Collection: These points never expire and will be deposited directly into the winners Bilt account in the next 24 hours. Winners will see the Points reflected when they go to the Collection tab and view their balance of Collection-specific Points. Upon checkout, Collection Points will be automatically used if the winner has any. If the item the winner chooses is worth less than the balance of their Collection Points, the winner will see the remainder showing in your Collection tab. If winner redeems for an item that is worth more than the Collection Points they have, the outstanding amount will pull from their spendable points and they will see this as a redemption in their timeline.
- $100 Lyft ride credit via a Lyft Pass: Winner will see this reflected in their Lyft account over the next 48 hours, and the Pass will be valid for a year. To view winners’ Lyft ride credit, head to the ‘Payment’ tab from the app menu, and the winner will see a pass from Bilt called Bilt Rent Day Birthday. When the winner takes their next ride, the Lyft Pass will be applied automatically. If the winner doesn’t have a Lyft account, make sure the winner signs up with the same number associated with their Bilt account, and the Pass will be available in their account.
- 1 Month of Free Rent: Winner will be hearing from Bilt over the next 24 hours at their email address with next steps.
- Virgin Flight to London – Fly Upper Class Roundtrip with a Companion: Winner will be receiving Virgin Points to get them on their next adventure. Winners can use these to get themselves and a companion to the UK in Virgin’s Business Class, take a Virgin Voyage, and more. Winner will be hearing from Bilt within 24 hours at their email address with next steps and instructions.
- Emirates Flight to Dubai – Fly Business Class Roundtrip with a Companion – Winner will be getting Skywards Miles with Emirates to get them on their next adventure. Winners can use these to get themselves and a companion to Dubai, Milan, and more. Winner will be hearing from Bilt over the next 24 hours at their email address with next steps and instructions.

And the rest of the normal Rent Day is still on, meaning double points on all purchases made on June 1st – 2X on everything, 4X on travel, and 6X on dining.
Bottom Line
I’m impressed pretty much every month with what Bilt Rewards pulls off. All this on top of being able to earn 1 point per dollar spent on rent with no fees whatsoever, up to $100,000 in rent spend annually (plus you need to make 5 other transactions of any size each billing cycle).
That alone has me glued to my Bilt card. I pretty much use it for rent, dining, and any un-bonused spend on the 1st of each month when it’s doubled. Bilt points are arguably more valuable than even Chase Ultimate Rewards, since Bilt also has Hyatt and United as a partner, but also has American Airlines and Turkish. Nobody else has AA.
Not to mention they tend to have one off Rent Day transfer bonuses, like last month’s 100% bonus to Air France Flying Blue which came stacked with promotional award rates.
If you pay rent and don’t have a Bilt Rewards card, you are definitely leaving points on the table – especially when they do indeed have a “secret” Bilt signup bonus.
