Sometimes (often? usually?) different sites that write about credit cards can be somewhat territorial. I always think there is plenty of pie for everyone and wish more influencers and websites would work to lift each other up.

I admit when CardRates approached me about a feature on the backstory of MilesTalk and Your Best Credit Cards, I was skeptical. But I was quickly proven wrong over some emails and then a great Zoom chat with them. We’re on the same page that we can all support each other 🙂

So today they published this feature article on the history and growth of both MilesTalk and Your Best Credit Cards, and I *really” love how it turned out.

We chatted about the earliest days of MilesTalk (how many of you were at my 2016 South by Southwest Miles and Points Meetup? It was you that convinced me to even get back into this game – one that I’d been in sine the mid-2000’s but took a bit of a break from until that fateful day 🙂 ) and how that has evolved, the growth of the Facebook group (coming up on 40,000 members now!). We then talked about the genesis of Your Best Credit Cards from its inception as “an automated Dave” to a full time business that I truly believe makes it easier for people to find their best card!

There’s also plenty of advice in the article
