bilt hilton status match

Each month, Bilt tries to have something unique to offer from one of its partners and this month, Hilton is that partner.

Hilton Gold Status Match

“On October 1st, all Bilt Members can activate a status match with Hilton that will last until December 31, 2024. All Bilt members also have the ability to upgrade their status to Hilton Honors Diamond!

All Bilt members who stay 8 nights at a Hilton property before December 31, 2024 will keep Hilton Gold status until March 31, 2026.

If Bilt Blue, Silver, and Gold members stay 14 nights at a Hilton property before December 31, 2024, they will be upgraded to Hilton Diamond status through March 31, 2026.

If Bilt Platinum members stay 10 nights at a Hilton property before December 31, 2024, they will be upgraded to Hilton Diamond status through March 31, 2026.

The status match opt-in period is from October 1st, 2024 at 12:00am ET until October 2nd, 2:59am ET in the Bilt Rewards app or website. Terms apply.”

For those of us with the Hilton Aspire credit card (which comes with automatic Diamond status, this won’t be of much use – but a great many people don’t have Hilton status at all. One thing many don’t realize is that when blogs discuss the 5th night free on awards with Hilton, that benefit requires *any* level of Hilton status, even the lowest Silver tier. But a base level member doesn’t get it.

So for a Bilt Rewards member with no Hilton status, this is a great way to get in on that 5th night free action.

Targeted Bilt Benefits

This is new….

In addition to headline benefits, certain Bilt members will be targeted with specific offers just for them. Once logged in, eligible members will see the benefit tiles in their Bilt app.

10x on Neighborhood Dining

“Bilt Members who receive this benefit will earn a total of 10x on Bilt Neighborhood Dining restaurants when they pay using a linked card between September 26 – October 1st.

Eligible members can earn 10x on up to $500 worth of Bilt Neighborhood Dining purchases.”

Rent Credit Bonus

Bilt members who receive this benefit will get a bonus when they redeem points for a rent credit through Bilt.

Bonuses will be applied to rent credits starting at a minimum of 1,000 Bilt points. A member’s rent credit bonus will be based on how much you redeem as follows:

Credit Value

Bonus

$0-$19.99

0% Bonus

$20-$49.99

25% Bonus

$50-$99.99

50% Bonus

$100-$199.99

75% Bonus

$200+

100% Bonus

Please keep in mind that you get only 0.55 cents per point when you apply points to rent, so even a targeted 100% bonus on $200+ in rent is just 1.1 cents per Bilt point, well under their fair value of between 1.75 – 2 cents a piece.

Hilton Happy Hours Experience

“Bilt has teamed up with Hilton to offer members the opportunity to attend an exclusive Bilt-hosted happy hour event at Hilton locations nationwide! Current locations include Waldorf Astoria in DC, Hotel del Coronado in California and more.

Bilt’s Hilton Happy Hours will take place on October 1, 2024. Check the Bilt app for exact locations, times, and pricing!

Tickets will be available starting on September 27, 2024 in the Bilt app or website at 11:50am ET for Bilt Platinum members and at 12:00pm ET for Bilt Gold, Silver, and Blue members. Tickets can be purchased using Bilt points or using any card linked to the member’s Bilt account.”

Other standard Rent Day benefits apply, but remember that the whole Double Points thing has lost much of its luster, with a maximum of 1,000 bonus points in total per rent day, where you earn 2X on all purchases except rent and tax payments. It used to be a super exciting day for me to whip out that Bilt credit card and put everything I could on it, but with my electricity bill covering most of the possible bonus points, it’s a one click and done for me on Rent Day from now on. As much as I love Bilt points and value them quite highly, I’m not too interested in 1X spend on any card.
