I love getting proactive emails like this from brands. It’s so much better when they get ahead of things rather than waiting until people don’t know what is happening.
I hadn’t even thought about the Free Weekend Night Certificate I have from my Hilton Aspire card, but with reduced travel that sure would be hard to use near term.
The credit cards that earn these certificates, which can be redeemed at any Hilton Hotel worldwide, subject to Standard award availability on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night, are:
Hilton Aspire: One free weekend night certificate when you are approved and one at each cardmember anniversary. Also, if you spend $60,000 in a calendar year, you’ll ean one additional Free Weekend Night.
Hilton Business Credit Card: One Free Weekend Night award after you spend $15,000 in a calendar year and another when you spend $60,000 in that same year.
Hilton Honors Surpass Card from American Express: One Free Weekend Night award after you spend $15,000 in a calendar year.
Hilton states:
For all unexpired Weekend Night Rewards as of March 11, 2020, and all new ones issued until August 30, 2020, we are extending the expiration date through the end of next summer (August 31, 2021).
There is no need for you to do anything, as your certificate(s) are being automatically updated in our systems.
Kudos to Hilton.
