So, you finally booked that Etihad First Class Apartment using American Airlines AAdvantage miles
Perhaps you read my glowing review of the Etihad First Class Apartment or read my post on how to get the Etihad Apartment booked with AAdvantage miles using AA’s Australian call center.
However you did it, congratulations!
You knew to ask American Airlines for your Etihad record locator. You figured you’d go on to the Etihad website and choose your seat.
And then…. it didn’t let you choose seats.
You can’t actually select your seats online with Etihad (and AA can’t do it for you). You could call Etihad (and for those who like making phone calls, have at it – it’s not painful at all).
Or, you can use the Etihad app
Easy as can be and hiding in plain sight, all you have to do is download the Etihad app from the Apple or Google Play store.
Install it and then use that Etihad booking reference number (if you didn’t ask AA for it, you’ll still have to call them and ask for it – AA will only display their own record locator number, unfortunately).
You’ll find it simple to open up your booking and navigate to seat selection where you can choose a seat like I did in the picture.
If you have two different record locators, you should each download the app to do this.
That’s it! Save your seat and I saved you a call….
