I’ve written many times about my excitement about the Hilton SLH partnership.
I’ve been clear that I think that the way that Hilton so successfully integrated SLH (as fully integrated as any Hilton brand; redemptions max at 150,000 points a night with full Hulton benefits) while Hyatt bungled the Mr. and Mrs. Smith integration (100% revenue based redemptions – no value to be found) makes the Hilton Honors points more valuable than ever. I’m just back from an SLH stay in Antigua at Hermitage Bay (more in that property soon) with a 1.7 cent baseline valuation, for example.
In fact, while I’ve been valuing Hilton points at 0.5 cents ever since the removal of award charts, I’m about to increase that valuation and will do so in a separate post about SLH and what it means for the Honors point values.
Meanwhile, in a shorter post here, I’ll mention the latest 11 SLH properties to join the Hilton Honors fold:
- Debaines Hotel Santiago
- The Plein Hotel
- NARUTIS Hotel
- Mary Budden Estate
- Lindos Blu
- Park Lane Copenhagen
- Severin’s – The Alpine Retreat
- Brij Lakshman Sagar
- Hotel on Rivington
- Carneros Resort & Spa
- MUU BANGKOK HOTEL
I don’t know most of them but I do know the Hotel on Rivington which is great location for a younger guest looking to be in the center of one of NYC’s many nightlife scenes.
Hilton originally hoped to have 100-200 SLH hotels online this year and is now over 400 – with more still to come and still with non costing more than 150,000 points.
