Last Wednesday, I let you know that you could use your DashPass membership on DoorDash and a promo code to get 20% off DoorDash on Wednesdays in December.
Remember, many of us use DoorDash / Caviar for food delivery simply because the Chase Sapphire Reserve card comes with a free year of DashPass (at least – my expiration date is giving me just about two full years), which waives delivery fees for most restaurants when you spend at least $12 and also discounts the DoorDash “service fee” enough to make it a reasonable option. Chase Sapphire Preferred cardholders get the free year of DashPass as well, just not the $60 in yearly credits.
On top of that, Sapphire Reserve cardmembers get $60 in DoorDash credits each year in 2020 and 2021.
Anyway, I let you know that you can use WINTER20DP for 20% off up to $10 each Wednesday in December.
What I didn’t know last week was that this won’t apply to all orders. Restaurants have to opt-in and not all of your favorite spots will be available with the discount.
But, your DoorDash DashPass also gives you identical benefits on the Caviar app, since DoorDash acquired Caviar. It’s generally the exact same restaurants now.
As well, you can use DoorDash gift cards (often 20% off) on Caviar. Wherever you deposit the gift card is where you’ll have to use the full balance, but you can use it in either app.
And on Caviar, the Wednesday deal is just a tad different. You can use code WED20 for 20% off up to $10 on ANY RESTAURANT.
