barclays aviator one purchase bonus miles

I don’t write much about Barclays cards because, when I do, I wind up getting very stern compliance emails from them – even though I have no affiliate relationship with them. For whatever reason, they just don’t like when I write about them – good or bad!

But I’ll take one for the team here because I don’t want you to miss out.

Right now the Barclays AAdvantage® Aviator® Red World Elite Mastercard is offering 60,000 bonus American Airlines AAdvantage miles with just one purchase within 90 days.

Most credit card signup bonus offers require some amount of minimum spending. Some no fee cards like the Chase Freedom Unlimited require just $500 in spend, but most cards require $3,000 or more.

Now normally, even when this particular Barclays card has an offer for miles with just one purchase, you still have to pay the $99 annual fee up front.

In this case, even that is waived the first year.

With the American Airlines credit cards from Citi, you can only get one personal Citi / AA credit card bonus every 48 months (4 years). You can also get one bonus on the CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® Mastercard® once every 4 years.

But since AA isn’t a transfer partner of any bank, you want to make sure you are getting all the card bonuses that you can (without getting whatever AA thinks is too many and bans you for life).

There’s also a business version offering up to 75,000 miles.

So you should definitely consider trying to get this Barclays card and the 60,000 AA miles….

As mentioned I have no affiliate link for this card (and they’ll probably come after me anyway!) but here’s the direct link to apply.

American Airlines Credit CardWith a new Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite MasterCard you'll get 50,000 AAdvantage® miles when you spend $2,500 in your first 3 months. AAdvantage miles are great for booking partner awards on Oneworld airlines like British Airways and Qatar's QSuites. | How to apply for this offer.
