It sounds better than it is…. but it’s free after all.
American Airlines is giving AAdvantage members a few miles and a special offer.
The good news? All you have to do is pop over to this link. Even easier, perhaps, is to launch your AA app and click the Promotions tab.
The freebie comes in two parts: A Freebie and an Offer.

The AAdvantage Freebie
It seems that most (all?) non-elites are getting 100 AAdvantage miles and elites are getting 250 – 1,000 miles or, in some cases, something a bit more valuable such as an Admiral’s Club One-Day Pass, Four 500-mile domestic upgrade stickers, single class upgrades with Avis, a Main Cabin Extra upgrade, and perhaps some other freebies. A Concierge Key member reported getting 2,000 miles.
With a new Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite MasterCard you'll get 50,000 AAdvantage® miles when you spend $2,500 in your first 3 months. AAdvantage miles are great for booking partner awards on Oneworld airlines like British Airways and Qatar's QSuites. | How to apply for this offer.
The AAdvantage Offer
These range from double miles for registering and flying (what you have to fly varies) to bonus “Million Miler” miles.
The variations are quite wide, so please let me know what you got in the comments below!

Hi Dave,
I got the email from American so it was a no brainer to easily register and receive my gift of 100 miles. Every little bit helps.
