Hard Rock Atlantic City just sent out an email that the long (and I mean LONG!) awaited day is finally here.
The Hard Rock Atlantic City will change over from it’s Wild Card loyalty to program to the chain-wide Unity program. All accounts you have in either program will be automatically merged (i.e. Mirage Las Vegas).
What this means:
- If you have been waiting to match to Hard Rock and then to Ocean for your free cruise and two nights in Vegas as described in the master Status Match Merry Go Round™ article and can possibly get there in the next 3 days (by EOD Jan 8th – GO AND DO IT!)
- We don’t know the answer to the biggest question – will you be able to “rematch” in the new Unity program (where Caesars Diamond matches to ICON)? Despite tons of misinformation online, I’ve always been very clear that with Unity, you 1,000,000% were able to rematch each and every March (your status ends at the end of February). You only got the match benefits one time, but you could rematch to Rock Royalty yearly.
But it’s rumored that Unity only does once in a lifetime matches. That would be the death knell for the Atlantic City match as no other status you can get on the Status Match Merry Go Round works to match to Ocean Prime.
Bottom line:
- If you need to match, go by January 8th.
- If you go January 9th on and have already had either Wild Card Rock Royalty or Unity ICON (i.e. from Mirage Las Vegas), please attempt a rematch and let us know right here or in the MilesTalk Facebook group. We need answers ASAP! 😉
Remember, if you matched either in Atlantic City OR at Mirage, your status ends at the end of February. If you match right now, please let us know the expiration date.

I was just at Hard Rock AC. They stated the merger is not until the fall. So why would agents state this at the kiosk and then the program emails something totally different?
Front line staff has been quite literally guessing for over a year. I don’t think the back office program people actually talk to the front line people.
So basically the wyndham diamond road for ocean prime is closed for new people starting Jan 10?
It would be the 9th, but for all we know they will still match Caesars Diamond – we just have no idea until it happens.
I am going to Ocean tomorrow, I still have my HR Rock Royalty card. I am going to attempt the match on 1/9. I hope it works, my HR card doesn’t expire yet as you mentioned. After that, I will take my Caesars Diamond to HR to match to Unity. Praying it lets you do it yearly! I really want the Ocean cruise/Resorts World stay too…
Let me know since my Caeser expired and Rock is about to expire but my Ocean is safe till July. I’m curious as well.
Just went a few hours ago. The changeover is noon Tuesday 9 Jan, the loyalty desk staff had to tell this to multiple people trying to get the new unity card.
Got rock royalty status ended 29 feb 2024 and Ocean Prime ending 1 July 2024. Also got a free shirt from Ocean, didn’t see that in the match terms so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Asking because I already have Rock Royalty expiring 2/29/24.
Do we think Ocean will honor 2/29/24 expiration Rock Royalty for Ocean Prime if I’m over 18 months and go after 1/9?
Rematched yesterday at HRAC to the Wild Card program and the new expiry date is 02/29/24. The representative also told me (without asking) that you could only match once in a lifetime with the new Unity program.
I originally status matched to Seminole Wild Card Elite at South Florida location back in 2020. I didn’t retain my status & was eventually downgraded.
I went to AC at Thanksgiving, used Caesars Diamond/MGM Gold at Hard Rock AC rewards desk, given Rock Royalty card, expires 02/29/2024. Went down the street to Oceans, used new Rock Royalty card at rewards desk, given Ocean Prime expiring 07/01/2024 (also got a shirt).
Logged in to Unity on Hard Rock AC site today, shows my new Icon status (number same as Rock Royalty card). However, I then went to the main Unity website, logged in, & it shows my original Seminole Wild Card number & status is only Star (basic).
If this will be my first time doing a status match in Hard Rock AC, would they still match the Caesar’s Diamond to Hard Rock Royalty status?
