Sorry folks, they seem to have run out of $200 credits and this offer is no longer showing in accounts.
Capital One Venture X and Capital One Venture X Business Credit Card cardholders have access to the new Premier Collection of hotels. This is somewhat similar to Amex’s FHR program, where you get benefits like on-property credits, breakfast, late checkout, and breakfasts (benefits vary by property).
Capital One is clearly trying to promote this in a big way (they have many more participating properties than they did at launch earlier in the year) and they are offering you $200 off any Premier Collection hotel to try it out.
The crazy thing is that there is no minimum, so if you could find a hotel for $201, for example, you’d be charged $1.
To locate a participating hotel, login to your Capital One online account, navigate to your Rewards section, then click into the travel portal. On top you’ll see a line called offers (I had a total of 12 with various discounts on airfare and hotels, including this $200 off $200 offer). From there you can click to search Premier Collection hotels.
Depending on your travel needs and flexibility, it shouldn’t be too hard to find a free or nearly free night.
You also earn 10X miles on these stays!
As a very quick example, you could book this hotel in Lisbon for a total of just $82 after the discount.
Just be sure you are looking at hotels marked PREMIER (navy blue background) and not the Lifestyle hotels (light background, as the Lifestyle hotels are not eligible.
