Registration is now live for the October-December 2023 period for your Chase Freedom and Freedom Flex cards.
This is for both the legacy Chase Freedom and the new Freedom Flex.
As a refresher, the old Chase Freedom and the new Freedom Flex allow you to earn 5X Ultimate Rewards points on whatever the chosen categories are for that 3 month period. The limit is $1,500 in spend for the quarter per card, for a total of 7,500 Ultimate Rewards points on the spend.

Chase Freedom Family 4th Quarter (2023) 5X Bonus Categories
You can now register for the 4th quarter bonus categories on your Chase Freedom or Freedom Flex. Both Freedom Flex (including converted Freedom Flex cards) and the original Freedom cards will have access to these bonus categories which are:
- PayPal
- Wholesale Clubs
- Select Charities
This one should be pretty easy one to max out. If you have the legacy Freedom card, you can use that at Costco in-store, else use your Flex for Costco online. Of course this would also work for BJ’s and Sam’s Club, etc.
If not, it’s super easy to put your card in PayPal and then use PayPal checkout where available. You can even pay Estimated Tax via PayPal using your Freedom. You’d pay 1.85% to do so, but earn back 5X, so worst case scenario, you can still come out way ahead there.
Activation Deadline
You must activate by December 14, 2023.
