Whether you like points or cash, Capital One is out with some huge early spend bonus offers on their business charge cards for you if you can hit some major spend thresholds within the defined period.
These Early Spend Bonuses are similar to the previous offers, except they add a 2nd Tier bonus level. So it’s not like if you were going to get these before, the threshold has gone up for the same bonus you could have gotten yesterday, but if you spend a lot – a whole lot – you can get a huge second level bonus.
Let’s look at the cards and offers:

Capital One Venture X Business
The Capital One Venture X Business card is a fantastic choice for a business owner whose spend requires more spend than a traditional credit card can accommodate, as there is no preset spending limit, and also wants a card that earns valuable points (Capital One calls them Miles) which can be transferred to airline or hotel partners (or spent on travel in the Capital One portal.
You can read all about the Capital One Venture X Business here but here’s the new Early Spend Offer:
Earn 150,000 Miles once you spend $20,000 in the first 3 months, and an additional 150,000 miles once you spend $100,000 in the first 6 months.
For sure, the value on the second half of the offer is not as strong as the first half (since you only have to spend $20,000 for the first bonus tranche and another $80,000 for the second), but if you spend quickly, this will be an easy one.
We value Capital One Miles at 1.6 cents a piece (if you transfer them to airline partners for First/Business class travel) so we value the bonus at a whopping $4,800 if you hit the second tier.
I should note you would also earn 200,000 miles from the spend itself, giving you a total of a half million Miles at the completion of your minimum spend.
How could you use those Miles? Check out our Capital One Guide.

Capital One Spark Cash Plus
The Spark Cash Plus is Capital One’s flat 2% cash back card with no preset spending limit. So again, this card is aimed at very high business spenders. Note that if you earn cash on the Spark Cash Plus and also hotel any of Capital One’s cards that earn Capital One Miles (i.e. any Venture card or the Spark Miles for Business) you do have the option to either cash out your cash as pure cash back OR transfer the cash back to your Miles card ($10 equals 1,000 Miles).
There’s not much else to say about this 2% cash back card except that it also has a huge Early Spend Bonus on now.
Earn $1,500 Cash Back once you spend $20,000 in the first 3 months, and an additional $1,500 once you spend $100,000 in the first 6 months – for a total of up to $3,000 in cash back.
This offer actually beats the old offer in two ways. Aside from the second tier for very high spend, you’re getting an extra $300 on the first tier, which was $1,200 previously.
