Hyatt has generally done some sort of promo every summer than involves getting some sort of rebate on points spent. It used to include all brands, but in recent years they use it to highlight select brands. Also, in previous years, there was a “bonus kicker” if you had a Hyatt credit card.
This year, you are only eligible if you have a World of Hyatt credit card.
Here’s what they are offering this year (quote directly from Hyatt):
From July 11 through September 17, 2023, World of Hyatt Credit Cardmembers can receive 20% of redeemed points back as Bonus Points on World of Hyatt points they redeem for Free Night Awards, Points + Cash stays, room updates and dining and spa services at Hyatt Independent Collection brands around the globe, including The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, Destination by Hyatt and JdV by Hyatt.
To participate, members must register for the promotion between July 11 and August 15, 2023, redeem their points for qualifying awards and complete their stay between July 11 and September 17, 2023. Cardmembers may earn a maximum of 30,000 Bonus Points per transaction under this promotion. Cardmembers can expect to receive their Bonus Points in their account four weeks after the redemption stay is completed.
So if you’ll be staying at an Unbound, Destination, or JdV property, you’ll need the full amount of points in your account to book, but you’ll get 20% back after your stay.
Don’t forget to register right away – since you may forget all about it later and then make a booking!
