In-Branch Elevated Bonus Offers on Citi Premier® and Citi® DoubleCash
If you apply in branch for a Citi Premier card right now, you can get 70,000 bonus points instead of the standard 60,000 points with the online offer. It’s still absolutely worth getting at 60,000 points, but 70,000 is obviously better! Annual fee is not waived. Minimum spend is $4,000 within 3 months.
It’s no secret that I love the Citi Premier card, most of all for transfers to Turkish Miles&Smiles (although happily now Capital One transfers to Turkish also!)
The Citi Double Cash almost never has any kind of intro bonus offer. But starting next week, you’ll be able to get $100 when you spend $500. And since you can transfer to the Citi Premier as part of the Citi Trifecta, that can be 10,000 transferable ThankYou points (as long as you have a Premier or Prestige).

New ThankYou Card Designs
Citi is also unveiling new card designs for all of their ThankYou point-earning credit cards.
These will be sent to new cardmembers starting from May 14th, 2021 and existing cardmembers will begin to see the new designs if they either need a card reissued or replaced for any reason or when a new card is sent out due to a card’s expiration.
Cash Out ThankYou points at 1 cent per point with the Citi Premier
Until last month, you could get 1.25 cents per point when redeeming ThankYou points in the travel portal. Now, that has dropped to just 1 cent per point (so there is really no reason to redeem TYPs in the portal, ever) but as a small giveback, there is a new ability to cash out the Premier’s points (which would include points earned on any other ThankYou cards linked to the same ThankYou account.
You can already do this with the Citi Prestige and all it means is that you can get a check or statement credit at a value of 1 cent per point. You’d get only half a cent if you only held a Rewards+ or Preferred without a Premier or Prestige. It isn’t a huge deal for most as the best redemptions are via transfer partners or use a Double Cash for cash back, but certainly useful for some that have a lot of 3X bonus spend on a Citi Premier and aren’t utilizing Citi transfer partners.
