Finally!!
For JetBlue Mosaics (Level 3 and 4) with Move-to-Mint certificates, it’s been a tremendous pain in the you know what to figure out how many certificates you need to upgrade on a given flight. (And a lot of Delta elites status matched to JetBlue late last year so many of us have these.
Prior to 2024, upgrades were automatic and unlimited, but only the day before the flight. Since January 1, you get a set number of upgrade certificates and can confirm at time of booking as long as any Mint seat is available, but the number of certificates vary. For instance as a Mosaic 3, I have 4 certificates. If I want to use them from NYC to Vegas to LA, for example, it could be 2, 3, or all 4 of my certificates. (I’ve heard of one, but that’s hearsay 😉 ).
Until now, the ONLY way to see how many certificates were required, which changes according to JetBlue internal algorithms and can vary from one minute to the next, was to actually book a flight, then go to Manage My Trip, then select Move to Mint and THEN see how many certificates – and then cancel the booking if not acceptable.
As of today, you can see before booking which is a huge relief. However, the user experience isn’t perfect so let me show you where to go.
You must be logged in to your account.
Search the route you want.
On Desktop, you’ll need to click a fare (just choose Blue).
Then you’ll see the number required above the fare boxes as shown below.
But on the app, you’ll instead need to click on where it says “From” (in this case from 17,000 miles). That will open the fares and you’ll see the Move to Mint requirement above it as shown below.
Enjoy!
