There seems to be a new Chase card in town and this time it’s Iberia Avios. They are transferable back and forth with BA Avios, but have slightly different award charts of their own. They even have a sale for business class awards from the US to Spain for 51,000 miles round trip going on.
The most exciting part according to people on both Doctor of Credit and the /churning reddit forums seems to be that people can get this card even if they are over 5/24.
The second most exciting part may be 10% off Iberia flights and a $1,000 discount voucher (valid for $1,000 of two seats on the same flight, Iberia only) when you spend $30,000 in a year.
This card doesn’t excite me as much as some, mainly since I’m flush with Ultimate Rewards that I can easily transfer. But if I was over 5/24 and low on UR, I’d jump on this in a second.
What do you think of this offer? Let me know here, on Twitter, or in the private MilesTalk Facebook group.
New to all of this? My new “introduction to miles and points” book, MilesTalk: Live Your Wildest Travel Dreams Using Miles and Points is available now.
There are a few interesting partner redemptions via Iberia…like J class DOH – BKK for 49K? or 46K, so…it has some potential.
