Four United Credit Cards from Chase are offering elevated welcome bonuses to new United Cardmembers for a limited time (until August 7th, 2024):
- United Gateway℠ Card: Earn 30,000 United MileagePlus® Miles after spending $1,000 on qualifying purchases in the first three months of opening an account, plus 0% APR on purchases within the first twelve months. Offer ends August 7, 2024.
- United℠ Explorer Card: Earn 60,000 United MileagePlus® Miles after spending $3,000 on qualifying purchases in the first three months of opening an account, plus the Annual Fee waived for the first year. Offer ends August 7, 2024.
- United Quest℠ Card: Earn 70,000 United MileagePlus® Miles and 500 PQP after spending $4,000 on qualifying purchases in the first three months of opening an account. Offer ends August 7, 2024.
- United Club℠ Infinite Card: Earn 90,000 United MileagePlus® Miles after you spend $5,000 on qualifying purchases in the first three months of opening an account. Offer ends August 7, 2024.
These offers are all higher offers than the previous ones. It seems each of the four offers is 10,000 more United MileagePlus® Miles for the same exact required spend as previously, so that’s a win if you want one of these cards.
That said, given that United has had a history of devaluations, these cards make the most sense for the benefits (like free checked bags) or for the PQP earning potential. Otherwise, you’d probably want to consider a Chase card that earns Ultimate Rewards which would earn points at a faster rate and transfer 1:1 to United.
