transfer amex points to Hawaiian transfer Hawaiian Miles to Alaska

I recently got a Hawaiian credit card to take advantage of the offer for 70,000 miles after one purchase for just the $99 annual fee. Of course, Hawaiian miles can be converted directly into Alaska miles.

While they print your Hawaiian Miles account number right on the credit card, I didn’t think to look it over and compare with my actual account – which I was careful to include on my application.

My first statement closed (with the one purchase required) and no miles made it to my Hawaiian account.

That got me to look at the statement where it showed a Hawaiian account number that was not mine. Well, I guess it is mine, but it’s not my original account and I can’t access it.

I’ll be calling Hawaiian Miles at 877-426-4537 when they open (7am their time, so 1pm ET)  to merge the accounts.

Interesting the Barclays rep said they create a new account for everyone, ignoring what’s on the application. I can’t say for sure if that is uniformly true, but you’ll certainly need to check if you haven’t gotten your miles!

Also of note is that Gary at View from the Wing reports that indeed the time to grab a Hawaiian card will come to a close as the programs merge “soon” – so grab it while you can. The card look like they will eventually be converted to Alaska cards, so maybe not a bad idea to grab one of those now too, before they convert you.

In order to apply for the getmyhawiiancard.com offer (just one purchase for 70,000 miles + the $99 annual fee), you do need a 6 digit code which our Facebook group members have been sharing here.

  1. This happened to me. I just linked account one (which had a few miles) to account two which got the 70,000, moved over the miles, and then shunted it all to Alaska.
