Capital One Travel Will Be Powered by Hopper
I think this is more cool than most will initially realize.
While it’s amazing that Capital One now offers airline and hotel transfer partners, my guess is that a majority of Capital One cardholders still prefer to use them in the simplest way possible – as a purchase eraser on travel or by simply booking travel through the Capital One portal. Most bank portals are “substandard” (to be generous), but Capital One, which is a major investor in Hopper, will use it to power their portal for airfare. Hopper has technology that helps you determine, based on historical data, if the fare for a particular flight is high, low, or average. More impressive is that you will be able to have your fare tracked by Hopper / Capital One Travel and get fare differences refunded when applicable. Initially available for those with Capital One Venture and Spark Miles cards.

However, some may be enticed by a simple deal for two months of Companion pass. Southwest is giving you a Companion Pass valid from Jan. 6, 2022 through the end of February 2022 when you register for the promotion and buy a round trip (or two one way flights) by September 9th and travel by November 18th.
