Will you be in Austin for SXSW this weekend?
If so, Spencer and I would love to see you at our Advanced Miles and Points session on Saturday at 3:30. We have capacity for around 120 and while the session RSVPs filled up already, I’m told that 25% of the seats are reserved for walkups. I would get there early if you don’t have an RSVP though, as they do cut the room off when all seats are full – no standing room.
We’ll be covering more advanced topics for those who have already gotten in the game with miles and points but would like to learn more advanced tools on the redemption side. So this will most certainly not be 90 minutes about credit cards. We are assuming you’ve earned some miles or points already and are ready to spend them.
Many of you know that my miles and points Meetup in 2016 was the genesis of MilesTalk. When I hosted that session, MilesTalk didn’t yet exist. But I was prodded by the people at that Meetup to do something more formal, and that led to the birth of MilesTalk as well as an exciting new venture I’ll be sharing with you sometime next week.
Keep in mind that a badge is required and will be checked and even scanned at the door by SXSW staff, so you really do need a badge.
After-Workshop Meetup
However, for those of you that are in or near Austin that can’t make the SXSW session, we’ve also thrown together a little Meetup for after the session. By “setup” I mean picked a bar near the Westin that we will go to after, along with any attendees from the workshop, and hang out for a little while. We won’t have a private area or anything, so just find Spencer or I and that is where the Meetup is 😉
All of the details for the Meetup are here. We’ll meet at the BD Riley’s Irish Pub downtown, just 2 blocks from the Westin where the session is.
Hope to see you in Austin!
