Lots of coverage about these over the last couple of days, but I wanted to make sure all MilesTalkers were in on the news. I haven’t seen any in person so I can’t do a super detailed review like I did when Chase opened the amazing Sapphire Lounge at LGA.

Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club @ Philadelphia International Airport

A few snippets from the press release and some pictures for this one:

Open today, “The new addition to the brand’s expanding lounge network is located post-security in the connector between Terminals D and E. The 20,000 square-foot space offers guests an elevated travel experience infused with Philadelphia’s rich culture and history.

The space’s beer garden, which reimagines the traditional experience with elegant tables and fun games, honors the city’s rich brewing history with a wide selection of local craft beers on tap, as well as a unique menu featuring Philadelphia-inspired items like cheesesteak sliders and potato pancakes. A mural by local artist James Burns of Mural Arts Philadelphia, the nation’s largest public art program, completes the space with visuals of the hidden portals and pathways of Philadelphia.

The lounge offers curated dishes developed by Middle Child Clubhouse, a restaurant known for modern culinary takes on old-school Philadelphia sandwiches and dishes and caters to a variety of dietary preferences. Guests can enjoy locally roasted coffee from Philadelphia’s Elixr Coffee, alongside a selection of soft drinks, signature cocktails and expertly curated wines from Parcelle.

The lounge’s vibrant game room is equipped with a variety of retro arcade machines and a large multi-screen wall with chairs for a complete gaming experience or for watching your favorite sports team on one of the six TVs. For those seeking relaxation, the lounge offers wellness amenities such as bookable private rest pods, showers, rejuvenating facial treatments from Face Haus and exclusive on-demand digital self-guided meditations from Master Well-Being Educator & Healer Devi Brown. The space also features a family room and play area, private and communal working spaces, as well as a nursing room to provide a comfortable experience for families.

Capital One Lounge at LAS

I’m super excited about this one. I’ve yet to fly through an airport terminal with a Capital One lounge! This new lounge is in Terminal 1 – right by the Delta gates – and will alleviate the need to queue for an hour for the Centurion lounge. And I do hear great things about Capital One lounges despite never having been in one! I’ll certainly comment when I am next in Vegas…. probably for the next ZorkFest 🙂

Again, since I wasn’t there in person, what follows is highlighted from their presser.

Highlights of the Capital One Lounge at LAS include sleek yet inviting interior design elements, wellness activations designed to help travelers relax, interactive dining experiences, and more. Notable elements include:
  • A premium dining experience that incorporates locally sourced ingredients within dishes served in a small-bite format. The menu includes offerings like chili crisp sweet potato hash and caviar deviled eggs in a format that allows visitors to create customized meals when dining at the lounge. Accompanying those meals is an array of beverage offerings, including artisanal sodas, flavored waters, and drip coffee from local micro-roasters, Vesta Coffee Roasters. Those with less time to spare can indulge in Capital One’s industry-leading grab-and-go, choosing from a healthy mix of options that include salads, granola bowls, fresh fruits, and more.
  • Unique beverage offerings from a comprehensive menu with locally inspired craft cocktails on tap and an assortment of local beers and wines. At the full-service bar, guests can order the lounge’s signature drink – a frozen, gin-based cocktail made with kiwi puree and aptly named the “Goblin” for its notable green hue – from the widely acclaimed Las Vegas cocktail bar, Herbs & Rye. Also featured is the Vienna Lager beer from Las Vegas Brewing Company, brewed as part of Capital One’s “Perfect Airport Beer” program. It’s served exclusively in the Capital One Lounge at LAS, offering a malt-forward profile with crisp, earthy, herbal hop notes. Additionally, guests can purchase curated rare liquors and wines – prohibition-era gin, 1950s bourbon, and rare vintages – as part of the “Rare Bottle Club” programming found across Capital One Lounges.
  • Customizable wellness offerings for the first time in Capital One Lounges. Whether they need to hydrate, relax, or energize themselves, guests can take advantage of functional beverage add-ons and boost any drink with ingredients like nano potassium, purple passionflower, nano magnesium, ashwagandha, liposomal vitamin c, and more.
  • More than 35 large-scale art installations from local artists, curated by Tappan, capture both the vibrancy and the natural beauty of the desert oasis that is Las Vegas. There are more than 50 original artworks featured throughout the space from local names like Melissa McGill, known for her abstract landscapes; Alinda Lindquist, celebrated for her paintings of the Mojave Desert; and James Gayle, renowned for his watercolors.
  • For the first time in Capital One Lounges, Las Vegas travelers can indulge in “Daily Rituals,” signature experiences delivered via roaming trolley carts throughout the day. Guests can enjoy the Morning Caffè Shakerato, an Italian-style shaken iced coffee with optional alcohol add-ns in the morning; Afternoon Tea Service featuring a wellness tea blend from Art of Tea and pastries from Suzuya Patisserie; and a Sunset Sparkling Toast with sparkling wine at sunset.”
