I’m still in Asia so posting will be light for another few days, but relevant to MilesTalkers thinking about jumping on the current version of the Status Match Merry Go Round via the Wyndham Business Earner credit card (matches to Caesars Diamond as ‘earned’ status), two notes:
In this article
Increased Sign Up Bonus on Business Earner
Danny Deal Guru flagged a new offer to earn up to 100,000 bonus points:
- Earn 50,000 bonus points after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first 90 days.
- Earn an additional 50,000 bonus points after spending $15,000 on purchases within the first 12 months.
Wyndham / Vacasa Devaluation (Again)
At the same time, Wyndham points are now worth less. Vacasa vacation rentals are by far the best way to get value for Wyndham points and they’ve been devalued for the second time in ~6 months.
Loyalty Lobby caught this one.
There are now two rental tiers (priced per bedroom):
- Rentals with an average cost of $250/night will be 15,000 points per bedroom per night.
- Rentals with an average cost of $500/night will be 30,000 points per bedroom per night.
I’ve been saving my points for a nice Vacasa rental and that seems to have just gone up in smoke as the only things I ever see where I want to go are 2+ bedrooms and over $250 so we are talking 60k a night. Great – I have enough for 2 whole nights! 😉
This appears to kick in March 26th, so I think you can still book at the old rate?

Definitely sad because I had family bookings plans :/
