10,000 MilesTalkers!

The MilesTalk Facebook group just hit 10,000 members! That’s a big milestone because, well, it’s 5 digits 😉

Seriously, though, I’ve been building the MilesTalk Facebook group, with the help of our moderator team (Sarah, A.R. Tim, Jenny, and Patrick + past moderators Giancarlo and Megan) for over 4 years and believe me when I say there is a snowball effect with things like this. Not even 12 full months ago, we were at 5,000 members, so we have doubled in the past year.

We’ve taken tremendous pride in cultivating what we truly believe is the friendliest travel group on Facebook (and loaded with great info on how to travel for free using credit card rewards, miles and points – of course!!). I’ve got lots more planned as we grow as well, like group trips!

And so I want to celebrate!

“Win a Free Night” Contest

I earned a Category 1-7 award at Hyatt for staying 60 nights last year. This is valid at any Hyatt family hotel up to 30,000 points. I’m donating that certificate to this contest, as I wanted to giveaway something really valuable. Depending on where you use it, you could get value in the thousands of dollars out of it. A night at the Park Hyatt NYC would be over $1,000. A night at Ventana Big Sur would be worth over $2,000. (I’m not guaranteeing a minimum value, because that will depend on how you choose to use it.)

If you win, I would book before the Hyatt award chart changes in late March, as 9 Category 7 hotels, like the Ventana Big Sur and Park Hyatt NYC, will become Category 8 and out of reach for this certificate. I’ll be having my Globalist Concierge make the booking for you in your own name using the certificate.

To enter, follow the “RafflePress” template below. At the end, it will randomly choose the 3 winners (1 grand prize and two runners up). The contest ends on February 28th at 11:59pm ET.

There are seven ways to enter – and you must enter whichever ways you choose via the RafflePress plugin below, meaning you need to register and verify your email so that RafflePress can count the entries you earn. You can enter via just one method or via all.

  • There’s also one automatic entry option just in case you cannot do anything else 🙂

At the end of the giveaway, 3 winners will be chosen.

The Grand Prize winner will be gifted one Hyatt Category 1-7 Free Night Award, valid for any Cat 1-7 Hyatt in the world, subject to any exclusions Hyatt places on this certificate. This must be used by May 6th, 2022, or it will convert into one free night up to 20,000 points as a Globalist Guest of Honor reservation.

2nd and 3rd Prize will each have a choice of one 45 minute private consulting session with Dave or a choice of any MilesTalk merchandise sold at Zazzle (https://www.zazzle.com/store/milestalk/products)

Entries are earned as described in the entry form, with various actions earning entries. At the conclusion of the contest, the winners will be randomly chosen.

  22. We have 3 nights booked at Alila Ventana Big Sur. I’d love to add a 4th night if they have availability. Or I could use the certificate for 1 of the 3 nights and use the points for another great stay somewhere else. We’re also planning a trip to Maui next January so I could definitely use it there too.   66. LOL, I think I put my comment in the wrong spot. I’d use it on the Hyatt Place Santa Barbara, since it’s going up to Cat 5 and thus out of reach of the free nights that come with credit card. We recently moved from there and still go back to visit friends and our son who is attending college there.
