Through Thursday, March 25th, you can save 20% off award flights using code “SAVENOW”.
While generally I don’t advise transferring Chase points to Southwest because often you could do just as well booking in the Chase portal and still earn Rapid Rewards.
However, with this sale, the math changes quite a bit, and you would almost certainly come out ahead by transferring your Chase points to Southwest rather than making a portal booking. You should be able to get around 2 cents per Chase Ultimate Rewards point in value.
The only catch is that travel needs to be completed by April 30th, 2021. With prices ramping up in a “kind of close to” post-COVID world, it’s understandable they would position this for tickets in the near term only.
If you already have a flight booked, remember you can cancel those flights and rebook with the code. Just double check availability and price first!
