Amazon Prime Big Deal Days: Oct 8 and 9, 2024
If you are an Amazon Prime member, you may (or may not!) be aware that today and tomorrow are “Prime Deal Days”.
While you can see a trending list of Prime Days deals here, I would suggest you first see what kind of deals you have with your credit card points. Most (but not all) deals involve using just 1 credit card point to get the deal. Right now, for instance, I have a deal for 30% off up to $30 (that’s $100 in spend) using just 1 Amex point per order. I know many people have active offers with Amex points so check that first.
FYI, I always keep the Amazon “Pay One Point” offers updated here. But here’s a list to keep it simple.
PS: If you are a heavy Amazon / Whole Foods / Amazon Fresh user, the 5% cash back on a Prime Visa may be worthwhile and the signup bonus is bumped to a $150 Amazon Gift Card upon approval for Amazon Big Prime Days.

How to Checkout
Then, at checkout, use your Amex / Chase / Citi / Discover card is set for the payment method – but in the box where it defaults to all the points possible to pay for the purchase (which will probably only net you about 0.6 cents a point), type in $0.01 worth of points (or whatever the minimum amount of points required is as long as the requirement still makes sense)
