This isn’t actually new. I posted about this a couple of weeks ago during Prime Day but it was part of my Compilation of Amazon Pay One Point Deals (which you should have bookmarked to check from time to time).
So you may have easily missed it and as I just redeemed it last night, I wanted to reshare it in its own post.
First, see if you are targeted here.
If you have a Capital One card that earns Miles, there’s a good chance you are.
The deal should be 40% off up to a $20 max when you use 625 points.
Unlike the Amex deals that require 714 points for just 15% off up to $15 in savings, this one does come out in your favor.
I value Capital One points at 1.6 cents.
That means I’m spending $10 in Capital One points for the $20 off – but I’m also getting $5 off for the 625 points. So it’s a total net cost of $5 for the $20 off, or a $15 gain.
I had trouble figuring out how to top off my cart and a Hulu $25 gift card worked just fine for the discount.
Remember to be SURE the item(s) you pick are sold and shipped by Amazon.com, else it won’t work.
Third party gift cards sold by Amazon should work.
