Chase Ultimate Rewards Transfers to Aeroplan are Now Live
At long last, you can now (as announced back in December of 2020) transfer your Chase Ultimate Rewards points to the Air Canada Aeroplan program.
The points will transfer instantly (1:1) and this means that you can now transfer points to Aeroplan from American Express Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards, Capital One Miles, and Marriott Bonvoy. That’s great because you can pool points earned from multiple programs for one award via Aeroplan.
When the new Aeroplan launched about a year ago, I covered the changes. They were mostly excellent changes, although many awards did go up in price (sometimes significantly) however, with that came more flexibility and, at least right now, you can freely cancel Aeroplan awards if plans change.
Aeroplan is not just an excellent way to book Star Alliance awards (best if you need a stopover which adds just 5k – as you can do better booking Star Alliance via Avianca Lifemiles, Turkish Miles&Smiles, or ANA in most cases) but also mixed awards that include travel on Etihad. Etihad is one of their best program additions allowing you to mix and match Star Alliance connections with Etihad or book Etihad alone at solid rates.
Chase Ultimate Rewards now transfers to a total of 14 transfer partners:
