The bonus offers on the two Southwest Business credit cards haven’t changed in years. They’ve always been high, especially the Southwest® Rapid Rewards® Performance Business Credit Card, but now finishing the two tier bonus on either card will automatically get you Companion Pass through Dec 31, 2025!

Here are the offers:

Earn up to 120,000 points. Earn 80,000 points after you spend $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening and an additional 40,000 points when you spend $15,000 in 9 months.

Earn up to 120,000 points. Earn 60,000 points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening and an additional 60,000 points when you spend $15,000 in 9 months.

I’ll keep this straight to the point.

You need 135,000 Companion Pass qualifying points in a calendar year to receive the Companion Pass for the rest of this year and all of the following year. You get 10,000 of those points automatically just by having any Southwest credit card.

So you need 125,000 more.

With either of these offers, once you complete the spend, you’ll have 120,000 points from the bonus PLUS at least 15,000 points from spend – meaning you will exceed what you need by 10,000 points!!

Now for some, getting one personal and one business card for less total spend works (and that is the strategy in our standard Southwest Companion Pass Guide) but just having to clear the bonus hurdle on one single card is easier for many.

What is the Southwest Companion Pass?

The Southwest Companion Pass allows you to bring a companion on all of your flights for free (just pay taxes and fees) an unlimited amount of times. The Companion Pass includes both paid and award tickets, which is pretty amazing.

You are allowed to change the eligible Companion 3 times per year on a Companion Pass. The only catch is that you can’t change to a new companion while you still have an un-flown ticket with the last one (unless you cancel it).

Check out each card page for more info and how to apply:
